Dravyn's 2nd Birthday!

Since we live a couple of blocks from the fire station and constantly are hearing the WooWooWoo of the sirens, I thought it would be a good idea to have a fireman theme for his second birthday on April 12th.

This is Dravyn off to fight a fire and save the day.

As I was making the cake, May May suggested we let him lick the batter off the spatula, which is something I would never do because I seem to have developed a fear of laundry stains and messy children! If my children ever find out my mom let me make mud pies all the time, I am toast, but that's a whole other post... It turned out to be quite disturbing because the cake was red velvet and makes it appear that he has gotten in a bloody fight before his big day!

The cake turned out great if I do say so myself. I cheated and bought the pan, but it still takes hours to finish then minutes to devour. After 8 years and now 18 or so cakes later, one would think I've picked up a trick or two, but sadly I have not. Every time it's "I should write this down" or "next time I should buy pre-colored icing." Maybe this post will serve as a reminder for the next one coming up.

Welcome to my Blog?

Once upon a time, I had a web page for posting pictures of my little princess, Baylen O'dette. I faithfully took a picture of her every single day so her grandparents and everyone who loved her could watch her grow up even though they lived far far away. For years I worked hard and kept the site updated weekly if not daily. Then a new little princess, Sayer Vaughn, graced our kingdom with her sweet little face and dynamite disposition. I battled all those who said the second child never has as many pictures, and even though I worked hard, I soon fell behind. By the time the cherished prince, Dravyn Raine, made his appearance, he really didn't even stand a chance to get his angelic visage taken, much less posted. Then horror of all horrors, the evil webmaster closed down the site and all my hard work was lost! So now I shall try blogging about all three darling children and try not to make a fool of myself in the process.
