Sayer's Sixth Birthday!

July 6, 2009

This year's theme was ladybugs as you probably guessed from the previous post. After messing with all that red and black icing with Dravyn's firetruck, I took the easy way out and made a flower cake and stuck a ladybug cookie on it. I had a wonderful family friend make the adorable individualy bagged cookies and let her deal with the red and black icing. Note Sayer's expertly drawn ladybug hanging up for a decoration.

Sayer's Lady Bug Pictures

I just wanted you to see what it took to get that one shot for her birthday invitation. Sayer gets very tired of smiling and her cheeks start to hurt and she thinks I'm crazy when I tell her to smile with her eyes! And these are only half the ones I took....

Dravyn

This was probably the last time Dravyn wore his "swim soup" because as soon as he gets outside and gets wet he poops up his swim diaper. Now he just goes naked, so no more farmer's tan for him!

I like this one because of how crazy the water droplets look.

My sweet little bubble boy

Boomerang Express V.B.S.

We spent a week in Sonora for V.B.S. and fun with all the relatives there. I helped LaLa in the kitchen and served loads of sugery snacks to 90 kids right before sending them home for lunch. We learned all about Australia and more importantly about how "it all comes back to Jesus." I also got to steal my niece Nyxi from the nursery every day until her mama Carla was finished helping with her class. Even Ross and Ryder got in on the action and helped out.

Sayer was supposed to keep her shirt unbuttoned. The one time this precious child should be laid back and she buttons all the way up!!!!

Showing off their opera skills!

Daddy Date Night

June 5th, 2009

Tracy took the girls out on a date to Sayer's teacher's wedding. Miss Mathews is now Mrs. Thoma. The wedding was outside (and very beautiful according to the girls) and they barely made it inside before the rain came pouring down sideways. Sayer ate her weight in shrimp and both girls broke down in tears when it was time to leave and they hadn't cut the cake yet and the D.J. hadn't started playing.
